National driving licenses are usually accepted in various countries, but, in most cases you need to have a minimum age to rent a car and/or to have an International Driving Permit.
Our best advice is to check with the consulate of the country you are traveling to what time of document is needed. The United States, England and Canada accept the international Driving Permit, for instance.
When renting, check the options of vehicles, insurance and additional features such as GPS, baby seat, etc). Choose the best option that fits your needs and, mostly, your budget.
Before driving the car do an inspection on the vehicle. Check the lights, blinkers (left/right) and brakes. Report any problem to the responsible employee.
Another precaution you must take is with the traffic laws of the country you’re visiting. In England, for instance, the steering wheel is placed on the right side. Pay attention on the signs and be prudent!
Drive safely and always respecting the traffic laws of the country. And in case you’re drinking, don’t drive!
